Why the letter M?
While researching the 2004 Inter-American Development Bank's Annual Board of Governor's Meeting, which took place in Brazil - as we watched the event videos the Chairman of the bank kept referring to the event as The Meeting Point of all Nations. Since we were in the process of forming the new company, that was to produce the IDB-Miami, one of the partners came forth and said, "Lets call it The Meeting Point..."
Thus The M Point was born.
What makes The M Point unique?
We are very, very hands on with our Points of Contacts. There is no turn-key approach or one-size fits all mentality.
Do you have a proprietary process of marketing?
One of the things that bugs us the most is the common use of "proprietary" methodologies.
You might have seen these before: they tend to make heavy use of alliteration (the Five I's of this, or the four P's of that) or the trademarking of basic words.
Well - we do have ours too, it's called thinking hard and executing harder.
Nobody has complained yet.
Can you work with other firms?
Since we're so focused on collaboration, we work with anyone, and everyone to generate success for our clients.
Quite frankly, we find ease of use to be quite attractive.
Why do you think the environment is right for The M Point?
At the end of the day, it is still the great idea which makes things happen.
We are fast, flexible, and easy to work with. Our engagements are customized with specific goals and objectives in mind.
I heard from a few sources that your core group is more like a family than a company, can you explain?
We were built by relationships. So it's no surprise we're held together so tightly by them. All core members were once clients and/or partners of the firm.
Because of this bond, we're able to agree, disagree, collaborate, and argue without second thought.
I'm sure your sources would tell you, that once they become a client of the group, they become part of the family.
Is there a set fee you work within and what is the minimum amount of time we can retain your group?
Every engagement is different and customized accordingly.
Great relationships have no time duration. Some of our clients have retained us for a morning or afternoon of thinking, and we've been with others for years.
It's whatever works, whatever is needed.
What industries and categories does The M Point target?
We do not pursue specific industries and categories. Rather, we're pursuing clients who really appreciate great thinking and consumer activation.
However, there is a special type we do love working with - entrepreneurial spirits.
